Bite the Bullet is the third book of the Birch Police Department series. Honestly, I didn't know that this was apart of a series. So, if you're like me and just joining in, this is a standalone.  I am a total newbie to April Canavan's stories and I'm glad I found them. This was so easy to follow and very entertaining. The only thing I was struggling a bit was that it was a bit slower than what I'm used to, however,it was very steamy, with very likable characters and it just wanted you to root for them. I will definitely check out her previous books. This was such a fun series

This was a huge palette cleanser from all of the dark romance I've been reading lately. This totally had 90's/00's rom com movie feels, which I am a huge sucker for. Although, accidental pregnancy isn't one of my favorites, this was quite enjoyable. The characters were very likable and I loooved their interactions with each other. There was so much sexual tension. Ahhhh!! I do wish there was less of a time jump and more interaction during the pregnancy, but it was a quick, easy, enjoyable read.

Sebastian Avando, a Tight End veteran, and the unofficial "unwelcome committee" of the team. He was alpha dog of the team. I really, really wanted to hate him, especially after the brutality of what he did to our other H. His actions were completely inexcusable, but damn it, as the story went on, I really tried. 

Dixon North, a Wide Receiver rookie, with a bright future ahead of him. Unfortunately, he caught the attention of Sebastian and Sebastian decided he needed to be "put in his place." 

 "I want him to know as fucked up as we are and after everything that’s happened between us, he at least has me." 

Over time after the incident, they both were going into uncharted territory. Attraction sets in and they both are completely clueless about what's happening. EVERYTHING about this relationship is completely toxic. But, you can't help but want them to explore more. I feel so wrong lol.  Seriously, I can't even define what they are to each other enemies to lovers, rivals to lovers, f*ck buddies, maybe all three? 

As a football fan, I highly enjoyed this. It was very realistic and I couldn't stop laughing (and cheering) at the beginning where they were all booing at the NFL Commissioner. 

Seriously, Is there anything C.A Rene can't write??? She always seems to blow me away! This was such a raw, emotional roller coaster. I swear, you felt every emotion thrown your way. You are left with a crazy cliffhanger . Can't wait for more!!

This was my first book by Lea Jade, so I wasn't sure what to expect. I looove vampires, so I was very excited for this book. It definitely did not disappoint. This was such a fast and fun read with incredible worldbuilding . It also had very likable characters. I am looking forward to see what happens next!
