REVIEW: Neve by Helen Scott

Neve (Silver Skates Book 3) by @helenscottauthor

#ARC #NextRead #SilverSkatesSeries

Blurb:

Ice skates and multiple mates Neve has found herself smack dab in the middle of a spell gone wrong!

When I’m dropped off in a little podunk town called Silver Springs under orders from my jerk of a father to turn their human newspaper from a money pit into a profitable business I want to scream. I'm supposed to be on the yacht in San Tropez, not in snowy, middle-of-nowhere New York.

After meeting the sexy journalist that works there though I start to change my mind. Add in a demon stripper, a reindeer shifter, and a selkie, and I'm sure that soon they’ll have me screaming for a whole different reason.

Can the men of Silver Springs thaw my icy heart and give me a reason to stick around? Or will I end up back on the yacht all alone?

REVIEW

This is book 3 of the Silver Skates collection. As always, this can be read as a standalone.

Love, Love, love this one! We first met Neve at the end of Ember and it was awesome to get to know more about her. She was new to the town to take over her father's business or lose her inheritance. She comes off as a snobby rich girl, but she has so much depth to her. This magical town has brought some meaning to her life by bonding her to four mates. These seem to get better and better each books. I cannot express how enjoyable all of these stories are.

Her Dark Moon by Helen Scott

TW: assault, drugging, kidnapping, violence, MFM,

Blurb:

As a lone wolf, I avoid imprinting on a mate like my life depends on it. Because it does.

My brother gave his life to help me escape the pack. Now, after being in hiding for the last few years, I'm seeing shifters outside of their normal territory, and they're getting closer to my little patch of wolf-free paradise.

If they find out I'm still alive, they'll haul me back and mate me to some random wolf, keeping me as a breeding machine to perpetuate our species. Forced imprinting is supposed to be forbidden, but if I know my pack, that won't stop them from getting what they want.

With danger lurking around every corner and the chance of me being caught getting ever higher, I'm on the verge of descending into hopelessness. Until I meet Roman. But what if he's just the lure to chain me to a different pack?

As badly as I want to be free from the obligations of a pack, that freedom just might cost me the guy. But as it turns out, my feelings for Roman are only half my trouble...

If you love the mystery of JR Ward's The Black Dagger Brotherhood and the magic of Ilona Andrews' Hidden Legacy, then you'll love House of Wolves and Magic!

REVIEW

Where to start? Ok...first off, Happy Release Day! Although, it was yesterday...but congrats!

Nina is a lone wolf and has been on the run for most of her life. She works and blends in with humans.  She's had a violent history with her former pack and trust never came easily. When she runs into a former pack member, who is now an alpha, he is willing to do anything in his power to forcefully make her his mate. To her surprise, she ends up bonding with another shifter (s) from another pack

Another amazing start to this new series by Helen Scott. It was a bit slow beginning, however it was build up of Nina's and why she didn't trust anyone. Fantastic world building and character development. And the cliffhanger!  Can't wait to see what happens next.
