Scarlett was living a dull and boring life. She was in a loveless relationship with a douchecanue boyfriend, who was only about himself and his needs. The only thing keeping her sane was work. She worked in a mystical museum full of occult and witchcraft artifacts. She started hearing voices and discovers that she has a secret power within

This was a pretty cute read. Not one I'd usually go for, however, I am glad I didn't pass this one up. Normally, Time Travel stories are difficult for me and I am easily lost with the time jumps. This is a pretty quick and very easy to read to follow.

REVIEW

 Zhavia was a rookie cop. She had recently lost her husband and was just existing in the the world. She met someone who completely rocked her world but this mysterious stranger had a lot of secrets of his own. Zhavia ended up at an Academy where they master the art of seduction and assassination. There  also are punished with by the Masters for any wrongdoing. To make matters worse, the other "little spiders" are encouraged to be violent.

This was a fantastic series! I didn't know what to expect, but ended up losing a lot of sleep reading this. I loved the journey of our FMC, She started off not knowing where she belongs to take no crap from anyone. She's sassy, tough, a bit broken broken but a survivor and her guys are a bit broken as well. These are definitely not your normal academy books, pretty dark at times but really had me wanting more.

Shadow Crusade is the first book in the Primordials of Shadowthorn series. Halira never wanted to join the Shadow Crusade until she lost her parents to demons. Now, she trains to protect and discovers a power within.

What an amazing start to this new series. This is the second series I've read by Jessaca, I have been blown away with the world building. I can't wait to read more of this series.

Lovedj this! Exposed is the second book in the Alex Drake Series. Madison discovers what Alex's connection is to her. There were so many secrets that she didn't expect, hell, I didn't expect it either lol. <spoiler>Alex really is such a sweetheart and had a traumatic experience involving Madison's family. </Spoiler>  And Paco, totally loved him too, such an amazing friend. This is a fantastic series!!

Loved this so much! This was my first story by Nancey Cummings. It was so unique and totally loved Aleksander and Solenne's story. What really got me was Nancey found a way to add Sci Fi, PNR, and historical romance into one story.

Calla has no memory of her past. When a handsome stranger, with a mask rescues her. They fell for each other and he takes her under his wing as a protege. A few years later, she is a trained assassin. She takes out some of the dangeous scum who are harming innocents. She realizes she has some competition, that kept stealing her assignments. There are some secrets to be uncovered.

I have mixed feelings about this one. First, this was a great introduction to Calla's and Gabriel's story. It did seem more like prequel and it was a quick and easy to read, there was not much of a plot. However,  It did have some action movie vibes and it was entertaining. Not to mention that twist at the end. I wasn't expecting that.  I also did have some difficulty connecting with the characters. There were really no growth to them. It series has a lot of  potential.

When Jackie's dad goes MIA, she is left in charge of running his brothel. What she didn't expect was to find out he has secret debts that need to be paid. She gets an unexpected visit from Bourbon Streets own, Oliberos Coven, who basically run the streets. Not only does she have them after her, she has to deal with unexpected attempts on her life from someone else. 

This is my first story by Quirah Casey and she totally knocked it out of the park. Naturally, I'm a bit hesitant about settings being so close to home, but this was definitely a hit. I easily visualized everything (and low-key tried to guess the districts lol). She took Bourbon Street and made it her all own.  Amazing job! This had the same feel as True Blood meets Domino & Harlots. I seriously enjoyed every minute of it and can't wait to see what happens next.
