Hold up...What the hell just happened?!?!?!?

I had to read the last chapter like 3-4 times to make sure I read this right. Geeeez! Okay, first off, incredible story. If you are looking for romance, you're not going to get it here, there may be a lot of steam, but no romance. Second, this makes me NOT want to use dating apps/sites 😂. This *anonymous* guy, went through a lot of trouble, it seemed exhausting. Third, that did not go, how I thought it would go, this leaves you guessing every character, guessing everything and things are definitely not what it seems. This was a fast pace, suspenseful, quick and easy read. I really enjoyed it!

I have to admit, I am a huge sucker for Hades and Persephone retellings. While this was a loosely based version, I seriously never get tired of reading them. Omg! This was soooo good. I read this in one sitting. My mind was blown with that huge twist. Although, this is set in the King's Trace Antiheroes universe, it has the same exact feel. Loved it!!

I'm not gonna lie, I really didn't care for her in beginning. They way she treated people was really sad and definitely not likable. I think as the story progresses, she really grew on me. I'm not saying she was right in treating people the way she did, but I felt for her and finally understood why she hid her true self from everyone.

Bass:

"Because that's what he is. My protector. The slayer of my demons."

Why am I so attracted to such toxic characters? He was in no way innocent and quite devious. Sneaking into his rival's house, posing as a bodyguard. There's no doubt, he's a great alphahole. Definitely, one I'd want in my corner.

The Story:

I loved it, a lot! There were scenes where I was like "OMG, did that actually happen". There were also emotional and steamy. I really enjoyed this story and would love to read more from this author!

Tempest was an erotic dancer. Every night, she gets on stage, earning that hard earned money (because sex work is real work), and she's really good at what she does. Deluge, a band that was infamous for doing crazy sh*t on tour arrives and chooses a few girls, including Tempest, that's when all *hell* breaks loose.

This was more of an introduction to the characters but it was a wild ride. Normally, I usually don't read to many Rockstar romances, but this was literally one of the best ones I've read so far. C.A. Rene just took this to a whole level by adding:
