This is the final book in The Reaped series. It has been a wild ride it's been. If you haven't picked up the prequel, The Reaper Incarnate you need to RIGHT THIS SECOND! This continues from Hunting the Reaper . I DON'T want to spoil too much, because soooo much happens. However, I'm gonna say, it is the perfect wrap up to this series.

Omfg!! I'm ugly crying right now!! After all of pain and turmoil Selene and her guys can finally have peace. And my crazy a$$ dude, Santos...ahhh I'm 😭😭😭. It's such a bittersweet feeling. They have a HEA, but it hits that it's the end of their story. Huge bravo to these two ladies for creating such a wild, crazy, badass story. Seriously, I'm obsessed and always recommending this series as much as I can. Would definitely love to read another co-write from these wonderful authors!!

She was tired of being ignored and nobody (besides her bestie) caring for her. Because of this, she often leads to partying and non-committal relationships and one night stands (and getting paid for it). Who knew one swipe can can expose so much danger and many secrets.

Although this is a standalone, it's not necessary, but recommended to start with Hu$h Money to get the full experience. I loved Carmen in Hu$h Money , so I was so excited when we got her book. There were some parts that were a little predictable but didn't take away from my enjoyment. My emotions were high and at the edge of my seat. There were twists and turns and a whole lot of steam. I did feel bad for Bradley and felt more of a connection between him and Carmen, but I was definitely was not disappointed with how things ended up. Can't wait to read more of B.L. Mute's books!

First off, this was an amazing read. I have never read this author before, so I wasn't sure what to expect. I devoured this book in one day, I couldn't put it down. The story and plot was a crazy ride but definitely amazing. I was able to connect with the characters.

Malcolm-

“You’ve already forgotten the first rule, but that’s okay. I know there is a brat in you fighting to get out. Girls like you are all the same. You crave dominance, and I’ll give that to you.”

Let me tell you, I was constantly flip flopping on if I liked him or not. In the beginning, he had that smooth, undeniable charm. Then , he was a total creeper. By the middle, even I was ready to call him "daddy" and I am not even into that. However, by the end, he was a complete a$$ and deserved what he got.

Carter-

"Carter isn’t sweet. He isn’t innocent. He’s dark and unpredictable. Unapologetic and mean. He’s all the things any woman would hate but I find myself falling in love with."

I loved him so much! He was a bit of a dick in the beginning, but you can definitely feel the strong feelings, tension and chemistry between him and Lydia. While daddy dearest was just playtime, Carter was the real thing.

Lydia-

"I was always the good girl, until I wasn’t…"

she may have been way over her head with everything, but she handled everything kind of better than I would have. I think she had the most character development and growth out of everybody.

Carmen- Legit best BFF ever. Not only had she forgiven Lydia, but she was her loyal, "Ride or Die" chick. Everybody deserves a best friend like her. I am actually super excited to start her story!

So, the reason I took off a half a star, is because I felt some parts were rushed. I also felt that there should have been some indication that the mom had some suspicions about Malcolm acting towards Lydia or Lydia's relationship with Carter. Also, maybe a small part of me was hoping for Malcolm to not be such a creeper and maybe had an MFM action. Weird yes, but it's been done before 😅. Besides those minor things, I think that is was a fun, twisted read. Definitely would read more from this author!

While this is technically a new series, Road to Absolution actually is the continuation of the Haunted Road series. If you're like me, and just jumped in without reading the Haunted Roads trilogy, if was really easy to follow. However, I do recommend reading it first for a better experience.

This was such a heartfelt story full of wild emotions. While characters past haunts them and gut wrenching situations do occur, a sense of love, healing, family, redemption, and of course, absolution. I love reading India R. Adam's books. Prepare for some ugly crying!
